little sister’s coffee shop is one of the best coffee shops in winnipeg and easily makes it onto our favorites list. With an emphasis on community, togetherness, and delicious ethically sourced coffee, the little sister coffee shop has two locations around town.

With the goal of being a safe and inclusive space for all, we love their friendly atmosphere and fantastic list of drinks to choose from (the matcha latte with oat milk is one of the best in winnipeg). you can even have your coffee beans and other goods delivered to the city; we personally always opt for stargazer espresso beans.

With three locations in the city, Thom Bargen Coffee Roasters is one of Winnipeg’s most popular coffee shops. With stunning design at each of their locations, think modern spaces with windows that let in plenty of sunlight, it’s always a pleasure to visit for coffee. Their new corydon location is already a huge hit within the community!

Working with farmers around the world to ensure the best coffee is used, Thom Bargen has a reputation in Winnipeg for serving some of the highest quality beans and teas. This fairly recent addition to st. Boniface can be found at the renovated Norwood Hotel (one of our picks for the best hotels in Winnipeg). while pauline bistro is known for its breakfast, brunch, and lunch, it’s also a wonderful spot for coffee or tea.

With beautiful French decor (you’ve probably seen it on instagram), it’s one of our top picks for a lazy morning. Cozy up with a book and one of her delicious hot drinks and we guarantee she’ll fall in love with Pauline Bistro as much as we do.

It’s no secret that we love the grove pub and restaurant here at road trip manitoba, so it makes sense that we love the canteen cafe as well. serving little sister’s espresso, her coffee creations are some of our favorites in winnipeg; try the honey brown sugar latte or iced caramel macchiato for a true treat.

don’t be fooled by the “ice cream” in the name… fête ice cream & coffee also serves a good cup of coffee! It’s in a perfect location along the assiniboine river, a great place to stop for coffee on a walk around town (and great for those visiting the dog park next door with their pup).

There’s a huge selection of drinks on the menu, including all the favorites: filter coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, you name it. there are also scones and other treats that are baked daily. but yeah…their ice cream is really amazing too!

If you’re going to spend any time in Assiniboine Park, a visit to the park cafe is a must. in winter, warm up with a hot chocolate or latte while you gaze at the snow; in summer, try an iced coffee or tea to cool off.

you can grab something to go while you explore the rest of the park or the nearby leo mol sculpture garden, or you can stay a while and try one of their breakfasts or lunches, which are always delicious. There’s also a “park treats” window that’s open for grab-and-go!

Found inside winnipeg’s beloved independent bookstore, mcnally robinson, prairie ink restaurant and bakery is a fantastic spot for coffee after buying a book or two. There’s also an extensive food menu, and all of their baked goods and pastries are made in-house using only the freshest ingredients (we’re fans of the almond croissant).

in summer, try their cold brew, while those craving a hot drink should try their decadent red forest mocha… even better with a liqueur! There is also an excellent selection of loose leaf teas and matcha drinks. Stay up to date on events at Prairie Ink, as there are often book readings in the evenings.

Boniface, postcard coffee has been attracting customers since 2012. and with a tagline that reads, “we care about making good coffee and good friends,” how could you not love this winnipeg coffee shop? With an incredibly diverse list of coffee beans available, you can expect the best of the best in this cafe.

They serve up some truly delicious creations, like the white chocolate mint mocha or, during the holiday season, a delicious milky eggnog. There are also coffee subscriptions to choose from if you want your coffee beans delivered right to your doorstep.

While juneberry is primarily known for its warm service and amazing food (in fact, it made our list of the best restaurants in winnipeg), this st. vital space is also a great cafe if you are just looking for a cup of coffee. their coffee and tea menu is exceptional, with options like a raspberry matcha latte, a miso caramel latte, and a delicious spiced cardamom latte.

You can also add coconut cream to any of their drinks for an extra (and vegan-friendly) treat. our choice? the gibraltar, a drink that is equal parts espresso and steamed milk.

With two locations in Winnipeg (and one in Steinbach), the crispy bun is known for its excellent array of European treats and treats, including pretzels, sauerkraut bread, and cherry streusel. while you can go there for lunch (their soup of the day is always a treat), it’s also a great place to grab a coffee.

Do you feel celebrating or in the mood for something a little stronger? definitely try one of their cocktails made with tea; the green word made with matcha tea is one of our new favorites.

Stylish, cozy, and with a delicious menu, Modern Electric Lunch is one of our favorite coffee shops in Winnipeg. Although many come here for the creative breakfast and lunch options, it’s also the perfect spot for coffee.

With plenty of classics on the menu (think cortados, cold brews, or cappuccinos), you can also mix it up by adding bailey’s or one of their house-made syrups to your drink (we’re big fans of vanilla bourbon or bourbon syrups). tahini candy). They also have a great selection of lemon lily teas.

onishkaan coffee

location: 460 madison st

Located inside the Wyndham Garden Winnipeg Airport Hotel, Onishkaan Café is a new spot in Winnipeg that will soon attract a lot of attention. open from 6am – perfect for early risers – location is great for those close to cf polo park mall, assiniboine park and st. james area the hotel is located in winnipeg’s first urban reserve (long plain madison reserve) and the onishkaan cafe offers some indigenous ingredients on its menu, such as bannock and wild berry jam.

With hot coffee, delicious gifts and beautiful design inside the hotel, even those not staying at the Wyndham Garden will appreciate a visit to the cafe. and the word onishkaan? means “to rise” in Ojibwe.

if you’re in northeast winnipeg, head to the cozy mountain bean coffee co. With a distinctly homey vibe, you’ll often find the cafe packed with people of all ages, from a student working a job to a grandmother with her grandson and a group of friends hanging out. With all the usual suspects when it comes to coffee drinks, also check out their seasonal lattes and fantastic baked goods.

we also love mountain bean coffee co. for its location near bunn’s creek centennial park. you can easily make a nice afternoon of strolling through the park and its trails along the creek with a hot coffee or tea from the local cafe in hand; In fact, we list the Bunn’s Creek Trail as one of our best hikes in Manitoba.
