Come for the coffee, stay for the beautiful interior design! felix roasting co. in soho is known for its high-quality organic blends, in the form of everything from artful espresso drinks to coffee cocktails. but the real showpiece is its beautiful café, inspired by the aesthetic movement of the late 19th century with a hand-drawn mural made up of 500 individual mosaics, a custom-patterned terrazzo floor, and much more.

“we cook, we bake, we make coffee” according to their motto. Root Hill Cafe’s coffee selection keeps it simple, and we think that’s why we like it so much. At very affordable prices, you can get anything from a chai latte to a cappuccino. but be sure to taste his food too to see if his mantra holds true for you.

pause cafe is a little Moroccan gem that is one of our favorite cafes. their “coffee bar” has a great selection including several lattes (try their specialty “Moroccan drip”). They also have some African foods and teas to try.

with 3 locations in the city (2 in manhattan, 1 in brooklyn), ninth street espresso is one of the best for…you guessed it…espresso! this will always be our recommendation if you stop by, but there are other options as well. Their coffee beans reign supreme from places around the world like Kenya and Peru, and they all taste refreshing from the first sip. if you need a quick pick-me-up, be sure to stop here!
