every year, anacafé invites all producers to participate in this process. this year, the process began with the reception of 158 coffee samples.

In the pre-selection stage, 92 coffees were classified that met all the requirements established by the alliance for coffee excellence (ace) and participated in the national competition, of these, 40 met the requirements and 30 qualified for the competition international.
during the award ceremony, juan luis barrios, president of anacafé, stated that “in guatemala we produce specialty coffees with unique characteristics and the coe is a window to publicize the quality of guatemala coffees and encourage producers linking them with international buyers.”

The 30 winning lots of coffee will be auctioned online next Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
