in an effort to reduce the homeless cat population, rahway kitty hall opened a store in january 2017. it serves as an environment where you can search for a potential furry friend to adopt, or a place where you can relax and work. the presence of cats. Her cats come from Angel Paws, a rescue center focused on saving cats from kill shelters. all cats brought into the cafe are tested and vaccinated against any diseases they may carry. The cats’ health and diet are regularly monitored and they are very well cared for. rahway kitty hall has certain rules that customers must follow to ensure that the experience is pleasurable for both cats and humans. 2. personal space – palmyra, nj
this cafe is located in palmyra, south jersey. Like other cat cafes, it shares a mission to find loving homes for homeless and displaced cats. purrsonal space is an official nj nonprofit cat rescue. she rescues cats and kittens from shelters and brings them into her cat salon so they can be introduced to potential new families. Visitors must book an appointment before meeting the cats, however Purrsonal uses social media to introduce their cats and inform the public of upcoming events and fundraisers. 3. Cambria Asylum – Roselle Park, NJ
Cambria Haven’s origins are shady. husband and wife, freddy and sierra, lost three of their pets in a house fire in 2016, one of which was their precious two-year-old cambria. Although devastated, they decided to create something in honor of their pets, something positive that would introduce animals in need to new families. that something was the cambria shelter, a cat cafe where patrons can enjoy the company of cats and possibly adopt them. 4. catsbury park – location tba

Originally located in asbury park, this cat cafe served as a place where people can introduce themselves to adoptable cats over a cup of coffee. Due to Covid, it has been required to remain closed since March 2020. In an effort to use its funds to rescue and care for its cats instead of paying rent for its space, the cafe announced it was closing its Asbury Park location. . The good news is that Catsbury Park plans to open a new location in late 2021. For now, however, it is still accepting applications to breed and adopt cats.
